Sony Alpha A700 DSLR Camera unveiled, features 12.2 CMOS Sensor and HD Output

Sony has launched the Sony Alpha A700 DSLR camera, which is packed with some real breathtaking features and is surely a much improved and advanced version of its elder sibling Alpha A100 that was launched in July 2006.
Phil Lubell, director of marketing for digital cameras at Sony Electronics said, “Discerning photo enthusiasts will be impressed with the rugged construction and outstanding performance of the A700.” Adding, “We also expect that this new camera will re-define the post-capture experience with HDMI(TM) output for high-quality playback of images on high-definition televisions.”

Slated to hit US shelves by October, the Sony Alpha A700 DSLR camera will be priced at $1,400. In Japan it should be available by mid-November for around 178,992.31 JPY. In addition, there will be an Alpha A700K kit packed with 18-70mm lens along with an Alpha A700P kit with 16-105mm lens that will be available in November for $1,500 and $1,900 respectively.
