Samsung S860 and S760 Digital Cameras unveiled in US

Samsung has released two new entry-level digital cameras namely the 7.2 mega-pixel S760 and the 8.1 mega pixel S860. Both the user friendly and point and-shoot digital cameras belong to the S-series,.
The S760 and S860 feature a 3x optical zoom and Samsung SHD lens. Moreover, they offer users Digital Image Stabilization (DIS) that minimizes camera shake effects and delivers sharp images. The DIS technology is helpful especially during low-light environments.
Also the newly launched cameras offer advanced features such as Face Detection and Self Portrait mode. The special “E” button enables lots of innovative functions such as resizing and rotating images, adjusting brightness, contrast and saturation levels, fixing red eye, and manipulating color such as saving captured images as B&W, Sepia, Red, Blue, Green, and Negative.
Coming back to the features of S760 and S860, they are equipped with 11 scene modes including Night, Portrait, Children, Landscape, Close-Up, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Fireworks, Beach & Snow, and Self Portrait.
The new S series cameras from Samsung are powered by two AA alkaline batteries, which are easily available in the market.
Samsung’s S860 and S760 will be available in the US market from January 2008 at the prices of $179 and $169 respectively.
