Apple iTunes subscription rumors out once again!

The rumors about iTunes subscriptions were already up, few months back but they seemed to have bounced back again on the tech news circuit. Rumors are that Apple is in the process of introducing subscription facility for iTunes in September.

iTunes logo The fee plan for the rumored subscription goes this way - $129.99 for unlimited music annually! The plans of iTunes plus MobileMe make it $179.99 or you could probably choose a $99 plan if you already subscribe to MobileMe. Well, well, well, the offer is available in US only.

And as TUAW.com reports 256 Kbps music is on your way via the iTunes.

Intel and Yahoo team up to bring Web on the HDTV platform

Intel and Yahoo! have joined hands to bring the Web into the TV. This has been made possible by Yahoo’s Widget based platform that allows viewing of contents like news, videos on the Internet, even access social networking sites and much more.

Microsoft makes Photosynth public

Microsoft has finally launched its Live Labs’ Photosynth publicly. Photosynth is an application that lets you see images as three dimensional when images are put together. An image can be attached to the related one, together to produce a 3D effect.

So while you cribbed about how you forgot to take your handycam to your trip to Venice, you can produce an almost real like ambience with the 3D images on your desktop.

You can move around in your pictures, left or right, up and down and also turn back and front. One of the best features happen to be that you can zoom into a place in the photo and yet see it clearly without any pixilation and as the resolution remains intact.

New 160 GB PlayStation 3 Bundle and Wireless Keypad for PS3 Controllers Announced

Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has announced a 160GB PlayStation 3 in North America as part of the limited-edition Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune PS3 system bundle. Also it has expanded range of PS3 accessories with Wireless Keypad compatible with SixAxis and DualShock 3 controllers.

Copy and paste now possible in iPhone with Open Clip

Last month it was reported as a rumor and now it is finally available. The Apple iPhone will now feature the most wanted copy and paste function. However the feature does not come from Apple.

Open Clip logo Apparently, Zac White, an applications developer has released his ‘Open Clip application to provide the iPhone users with copy/paste options (not cut/paste). “Apple has a priority list of features, and we got as far as we could down that list,” said Apple’s iPod and iPhone Marketing Chief Greg Joswiak in an attempt to explain the absence of certain features in iPhone.

iPhone comes to India with a heavy price tag?

iPhone has received a celebrity like status everywhere in the world by now. Now the land waiting for the celebrity to come to it is India. And the phone is definitely acting pricey for that.

Okay, so be prepared to hear this – apparently the 3G iPhone from Apple has been priced at Rs. 31,000 ($712) for the one with 8GB of capacity while the 16 GB comes with a price tag of Rs. 36,00 ($828) from Vodafone.

Now so much for a 3G phone even when a 3G network has not been established in India? The grey market in India provides the same iPhone 3G for Rs. 20,000. Business Standard also reports that the second hand iPhone is available for Rs. 15,000.

In US the 8GB capacity 3G iPhone is available for $199 plus $99 for the one year contract with the network operator. The 16GB one is priced at $299.
